Written by Nnedi Okorafor with art by Alberto Alburquerque, the comic books will focus on Okoye, Ayo, and Aneka of the Dora Milaje as their story arc moves through Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men, and Avengers.

Wakanda Foreverwill have an adventure narrative, Okorafor told Vogue, and the first issue with Spider-Man will see the crew heading to New York to "investigate a threat to national security."
"This moment has been coming for a long time,” said Okorafor, speaking about the Dora Milaje taking center stage. “People have craved these types of characters for a while, and I don’t think that craving is going to pass; it’s something that is here to stay.”
The first issue will come out in June, followed by X-Men: Wakanda Foreverin July and Avengers: Wakanda Foreverin August. Hopefully more issues or a standalone series will follow.
